Global pharmaceutical group Organon, which specialises in healthcare treatment for women, is to give staff time off on International Women’s Day on March 8. The firm decided to give its 11,000 staff members across the world this day off as part of efforts to raise awareness of specific healthcare matters, as well as to boost employee loyalty.
It was Organon’s employees that came up with the idea. The group has set up, amongst other things, an employees’ resource group to focus on women-related topics. “This group is working in particular on how we can make Organon a company where women can have their place, show their potential and access roles in line with their professional aspirations,” Stéphanie Houssin, the company’s human resources director for France, explains.
