Hungary: policy in favor of ‘family-friendly’ labor market

How to improve women’s activity rate while encouraging an increase in birthrate?  With an average of 1.2 children per woman in 2011, it is one of the bigger concerns of the current administration, which recently assessed other measures adopted on the subject in recent months and presented its flagship measure: the reform of parental leave.  These measures will come into force on January 1, 2014.  (Ref.  130818)
