As IT companies start calling staff to return to on-site working, as the remote working measures that had been necessitated by the coronavirus pandemic taper off, their thoughts are also turning towards hybrid work models for the future. Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, and Wipro have already announced that they are going to maintain remote working long term so as to offer staff a better work-life balance as well as be able to hire across several geographical areas and make significant savings.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader, and India’s largest IT services, consulting & business solutions provider, announced that employees will soon return to working from the company’s premises. “With 70 per cent of TCSers (employees of TCS) fully vaccinated, and over 95 per cent having received at least one dose, we plan to gradually get our workforce back in office by the end of this year,” said Milind Lakkad, head of human resources at Tata Consultancy Services.
