Ireland’s Oireachtas (Irish Parliament) has adopted the text that transposes the European Directive 2019/1158 of 20 June 2019 (Work-Life Balance Directive). On 30 March the Irish Parliament passed the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Bill and the President will sign it into law. The text includes several provisions for parents and caregivers as well as measures to support employees who are victims of domestic violence. It also establishes a right to request remote work.
