Both union signatories of the national metal industry collective agreement, FIM-Cisl and Uilm-Uil announced that they and the employers bodies Federmeccanica and Assistal had signed an agreement on September 25, 2014 to transpose the reform of short term working contracts into the national collective agreement. This represents the first element of Renzi’s government’s Jobs Act. Negotiations at the business level will allow businesses, under specific circumstances, to offer short term contracts in excess of the 20% ceiling.
On September 25, Fim and Uilm concluded an agreement with the employers bodies, Federmeccanica and Assistal that transposes the reform to short term working contracts and agency work contracts (c.f. article No. 8389) into the national metal collective agreement, renewed via a separate agreement on December 5, 2012 (c.f. article No.120722).
