After compromises on wages and the fate of precarious workers, the CGIL union signed, on September 25, 2008, the agreement on the recovery plan of the Italian airline Alitalia by the consortium of Italian investors CAI. This signature revived the negotiation with the pilots' unions which signed on Saturday, and with the unions representing flight attendants, which accepted the agreement yesterday. (Ref. 080730)
“It is possible to be responsible and find
good agreements.” This is how Gugliemo Epifani, CGIL leader, presented his
decision to sign the CAI’s industrial plan, on Thursday, after amending the
text already signed by the Cisl, Uil and UGL (see our dispatch No. 080706). The
