On October 21, Confindustria Energia and the Femca Cisl, Filcem CGIL and Uilcem Uil unions presented their respective claims for the renewal of the national collective agreement in the energy and oil sector, affecting 33,000 employees from about 60 businesses (including Eni, Shell, Esso, Total Fina, Elf and Kuwait). Risk of a separate agreement. On October 21, Confindustria Energia, Femca Cisl, Filcem CGIL and Uilcem Uil opened the negotiations for the renewal of the energy and oil CCN, which will end on December 31, 2009. Filcem national secretary Gabriele Valeri pointed out that unions want to “work to avoid a separate agreement, for a unitary agreement following the sector’s best traditions.” The next meeting will be held on November 10.
