A month ahead of schedule, the Federazione Gomma Plastica employers' organisation and the Filctem-Cgil, Femca-Cisl and Uiltec trade unions have renewed the collective agreement for the rubber and plastics sector for the period 2026-2028. The agreement, which covers 165,000 employees, including those working for major tyre multinationals such as Pirelli, Michelin and Bridgestone, focuses notably on new professional profiles and gender equality.
The renewal of the rubber and plastics collective agreement, signed on 10 December after rapid negotiations, is the result of “advanced social relations in a sector facing the challenges of energy and digital transitions”, the unions emphasise in their statement.
