On June 11 the Italian Council of Ministers gave final approval for two new decrees relating to the Jobs Act – the law enabling labor reforms approved in December 2014 (c.f. article No. 8763). They contain new regulations on part-time work, restrictions on recourse to ‘para-subordinate’ workers, possibilities for downgrading job function in cases of restructuring, as well as measures for a better work life balance.
Streamlining employment contract types. Once the decree comes into force (after its publication in the Official Journal) independent Co. Co. Pro. (Contratto a progetto) contracts will no longer be allowed although existing contracts can run their course.
