On 15 April, the Federchimica and Farmindustria employers' organisations and the Filctem-Cgil, Femca-Cisl and Uiltec trade unions signed the renewal of the collective agreement for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, which covers around 180,000 employees. The agreement aims to accompany and anticipate changes in the sector, setting out guidelines for the use of artificial intelligence in companies. The text also contains steps forward on diversity, inclusion and parenting.
The digital and ecological transition must be addressed by supporting “economic growth, environmental protection and social equity”, according to the text, which must now be approved by the workers’ assemblies.
