Italy: Eni and Ilva sign operational protocol on security at work in Tarente industrial area

The operational protocol signed on November 11 by Ilva, Eni, the Apulia region, the National Institute for Insurance against Industrial Accidents (Inail), the Ministry of Employment, the Ministry of Labor, Confindustria, CGIL, Cisl, Uil, and the city hall and province of Tarente aims to improve action and coordination in terms of security at work in the Tarente industrial area, the administrative center of the Apulia region, where a lot of accidents took place recently.  It provides for a review and a serious intensification of the training activity, for direct and subcontracting employees in the two groups, and permanent accident follow-up.  (Ref.  130715)
