While the Fiom presented its appeal to the Turin court against Fiat for “antiunion behavior” in the procedure used for the Pomigliano and Mirafiori newcos, the CGIL’s metalworkers’ federation won its first legal battle against the application of the 2009 separate agreement on the metal CCN in the same court. Labor judge Silvana Cirvilleri established, on April 18th, that, in the Bulloneria Barge (firm of 140 employees making screw nuts and bolts for the international auto industry) of Borgaro Torinese (Turin), “the 2008 CCN should apply for Fiom members and non-union members who request it.” The judge also imposed displaying this measure in the company for 30 days. This way, two CCNs will be in force in that company: that of 2008, with no derogations, applying to Fiom members and employees who request it, and that of 2009 applying to Fim and Uilm members with the possibility of exceptions (see our dispatch No. 100685).
