Employee motivation and commitment are the biggest challenge for HR managers in Italy today, according to Filippo Adamo, President of the AIDP (Associazione Italiana per la Direzione del Personale). The association, founded in 1960, gathers more than 3,000 members working in the HR function of public and private undertakings or institutions or who study the relation between “people and work” as researchers and academics.
- How has the HR function changed in recent years?
Filippo Adamo. More and more, HR Directors are becoming HR managers and less human relations specialists. They are more on boards, which used to be rarer. Therefore, they need to know more.
