The renewal of the CCN for small and medium-sized metal businesses was concluded between the Fim and Uilm with the Unionmeccanica-Confapi employers’ organization on the night of June 3rd. the two unions rejoiced to have reached an agreement “without a single strike” in spite of the crisis that badly hit metal SMEs. They say that the new CCN – signed for three years, between June 1, 2010 and May 31, 2013 and applies new conventional rules – improves the “normative and economic parts” with “major innovations” for the workers. In addition to an average €122 increase divided in four (€29 on June 1, 2010, €40 on March 1, 2011, €42 on March 1, 2012 and €11 on February 1, 2013), and a fixed €116 to make up for the period without a CCN, they notably focus on the following points.
