On February 21, the employers' confederation Confindustria and the three union confederations Cgil, Cisl and Uil started negotiations on the reform of collective bargaining. Its main themes are reducing fiscal charges on wages, incentives to second-level negotiations (local), reducing the number of national collective agreements, and revising cost-of-living indicators in preparation for the triennialization of national collective agreements. In the meantime, the Cgil is organizing its opposition to the reform. (Ref. 080152)
“It was a useful meeting. We established the method and will then deepen the technical aspect”, declared Nicoletta Rocchi, Cgil confederal secretary. She also reminded that, before starting the true negotiations, the union confederation is waiting for the approval of the unions’ unitary document (see our article No. 080140) from the executive council which will meet on March 12 (its mandate is vital for the conclusion of the negotiation).
