On 16 September the social partners in the rubber & plastics sector signed an agreement to renew their national collective agreement (NCA), which covers approximately 130,000 workers, including employees of multinational tyre companies such a Pirelli, Michelin, and Bridgestone. The previous NCA expired on 30 June 2019. Subject to employee approval, the agreement will run until 31 December 2022 and in it is a provision for a €63 increase in minimum salaries, health and safety advances as well as minor improvements in work-life balance.
Salary increases. The agreement signed between the Federazione Gomma Plastica, associated with Confindustria, and the trade unions Filctem-Cgil, Femca-Cisl and Uiltec, provides for an increase of €63 in minimum salaries for the sector (TEM, “Trattamento Economico Minimo”, c.f. article No. 10581) that will be delivered in two instalments comprising €32 on 01 January 2021 and €31 a year later on 01 January 2022.
