Italy: report shows green economy “resists the crisis”

“The experience of the 370,000 businesses which, from 2008 to present, invested into ecotechnologies once again proves that this crisis can be overcome by banking on innovation, quality and sustainability.  These three values help our companies understand what consumers like best, turn our products into unique products, and be effective in the creativity of human resources and the responsible use of natural resources.”  This is how Claudio Gagliardi, Unioncamere general secretary presented his report, “Greenitaly 2011: the green economy defies the crisis” on November 14.  Done together with Symbola*, the report X-rays the ‘eco-sustainable redevelopment’ of Italian businesses which, between 2008 and 2011, have invested into “green” products or technologies.
