The Renzi Government’s much contested education reforms were finally adopted in July 2015 and provide for obligatory in-company practical training for students in their final three years of vocational college, technical college, and secondary school. The number of hours to be spent in businesses whilst attending technical college will rise from 90 to 400. The government also intends to strengthen ties between school and the labor market.
Following education reforms that were laid down in the law 107/2015, students starting their academic year next week will now take part in a new obligatory school | work program. “Businesses, museums, public bodies will all offer varied work experience to students enabling them to make informed choices, connect ‘knowing’ to ‘doing’, and relate school to society in a coherent program giving increasing cultural and societal experience,” explained Education under-secretary Davide Faraone on...
