Italy: Senate permanently approves 2011 Finance Act

Social dampers.  One billion euros were allocated to the Social Fund for Employment and Training for 2011.  Before the reform of social dampers, derogatory CIG (Cassa Integrazione) treatments, Mobilità, and special unemployment, adopted in 2010 (see our dispatch No.  100013) are renewed in 2011, as well as the incentive for employers who recruit people who receive derogatory social dampers. 2010 experimental income support measures are also renewed: income complements for solidarity contracts, the possibility for the company to recruit workers on CIG for training or reclassifying projects, which may include a productive activity, or reduced expenses for employers recruit jobseekers over 50.
