Italy: social partners in the chemicals-pharmaceuticals sector to train both union representatives and HR managers

Italy’s employers bodies, Federchimica and Farmindustria, together with the union organizations Filctem-Cgil, Femca-Cisl, and Uiltec-Uil have developed what is a landmark initiative for the country by jointly training company based union representatives (RSU - rappresentanze sindacali unitarie) and their counterparts in company HR departments. By facilitating mutual understanding the goal is to bolster social partners’ competences in both national collective negotiations and at second level, as well as over major sector-related topics.

In Italy the chemicals and pharmaceuticals sectors are known for the particularly collaborative nature of their industrial relations.
