…Italy: social partners prepare for dialogue after summer break
Negotiations between the Italian government and social partners, which had got under way in July, are set to resume in the coming days. On Wednesday, the country’s labour minister Giuliano Poletti welcomed the three main trade union groups – the CGIL, CISL and UIL – to tackle the issue of retirement, with further talks planned on employment. Discussions will also resume between unions and the employer organisation Confindustria in September, with the aim of reaching an agreement on reform to the collective bargaining model.
