The study by the Bank of Italy published this month describes the evolution of company negotiations, especially to point to obstacles - the first being uncertainty regarding the conditions of validity of a derogatory agreement. This survey claims that a lot of businesses with 200 workers or more are ready to offer wage increases and employment guarantees in return for more flexible working time and conditions.
The survey points out that company bargaining hasn’t taken off as expected and is more common in large businesses than in SMEs and in manufacturing rather than services.
