On February 20 the Council of Ministers adopted the first two decree laws of the Jobs Act – the framework law on labor market reform approved in December 2014 (c.f. article No. 8763) covering indefinite employment contracts with rising levels of social protection, and unemployment insurance. Both should come into force on March 01 after publication in the Official Journal. The Council also approved two other draft laws that will be put to parliament for its non-binding opinion before final adoption. They cover revising the typology of employment contracts as well as possibilities for modifying employment contracts under certain circumstance and a better balance between work life and private life.
