The framework agreement was signed on 24 October between the trade unions Filctem and the civil services of CGIL, Femca, Fit et Flaei de la Cisl, Uiltec and Uiltrasporti de l’Ui. The IREN group, the fourth largest services company (4,5000 employees) providing services to the Italian local authorities has reached an agreement on the ‘intergenerational pact’. This pact will facilitate the transition of 300 early retirement leavers with an intake of 180 new young recruits on an apprenticeship scheme. The aim is to ensure new blood into the workforce on a generational and professional level in three areas linked to the implementation of the company’s new business plan.
