Italy: the Sodalitas Social Award, a ‘barometer’ of the growing interest in corporate social responsibility

The Sodalitas Social Award was awarded on May 29 during the meeting entitled "Sustainability and social responsibility". Revealing Italian companies' growing interest for this field, this national award rewards the best corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects in Italian undertakings and businesses. (Ref. 080473)

More and more committed to CSR and SD (sustainable development) projects, in 2008, 210 companies with 260 projects competed for the Sodalitas Social Award, the national annual award for the best CSR projects. For the sixth year, the award was given during the “Sustainability and Social Responsibility” meeting organized by the Sodalitas association at the head office of Assolombarda, the association of Milan’s industrialists, which it belongs to.
