On October 10, the Confindustria employers' organization and the two unions, Cisl and Uil, agreed on guidelines on the reform of the conventional system. For the moment, there are no talks about a separate agreement as the CGIL remains opposed to it without leaving the negotiating table yet. “We have made big steps forward”, expressed with
satisfaction Cisl general secretary Raffaele Bonanni at the end of the meeting
last Friday. Confindustria, Uil and Cisl now share guidelines on the reform of
the conventional system which will constitute the basis of negotiation with
other public and private employers’ associations and the government so as to
achieve rapidly an agreement valid in all sectors. According to Uil leader
