Italy: towards a new deal for health at work

Almost 1 million industrial accidents and over 25.000 cases of professional or work-related pathologies are recorded every year in Italy. Facing this situation, a decisive step is expected with the endorsement of the "Single Text for Security at Work" which is currently being discussed in Parliament. Moreover, the health minister, Livia Turco, inscribed security at work among the four priority national "securities" in the government's program and is thus following its goal to realize a "New Health Deal" during her mandate.
