“The labor available in foreign border regions could dry up” was the title of Luxembourg’s Daily newspaper. The paper commented on the broad outline of the demographic study “Effects of demographic trends on the Grand duchy’s labour market” ordered by the interregional Observatory of employment (OIE) and published in the beginning of August. According to the study, the Greater Area (including Luxembourg, Lorraine, Rhineland-Palatinat, Saar, Wallonia and the German-speaking community of Belgium)
