On 26 September, the Dutch Council of Ministers submitted a bill to the Council of State “on preserving the workforce in times of crisis”(Wpc). The aim of this bill is to help employers keep as many employees as possible in their jobs during unpredictable situations such as war, a pandemic or exceptional weather conditions. If the company’s activity is reduced by at least 20% on average over two months, they will be able to make use of the partial unemployment and redeployment schemes provided
