The Netherlands announced, on March 26, 2007, the suspension of the red tape for the EU and EEA (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland) service providers. The companies from these countries will no longer have to ask for a work permit for their employees, or to provide their identity documents to the income and work center (IWC), the national employment agency. Only employees coming from states outside of the EU will have to comply with Dutch rules on immigration, even if they work for service providers settled in the EU, such as Ukrainians hired by Polish companies for example.
