Since April 1, businesses hit by the crisis can send their employees to partial unemployment, up to half their working time, for three months which can be renewed twice (see our dispatch No. 090340). Employers pay 50% of the salary and the unemployment insurance pays the rest. The FNV and Allies wants employers to pay for 65% to allow employees to keep the same social coverage and pension contributions. In addition, the FNV and Allies wants employees to remain in the company for at leat 26 weeks after partial unemployment instead of 12 in the agreement signed at the end of March by the social partners.
