In October 2015 management at PostNL together with the unions FNV, CNV, and VHP2 concluded an agreement in principle over a social plan for the Dutch postal operator. Employees voted in favour and it was formerly signed on 02 December. The new five year agreement replaces the current agreement that due to expire at the end of the year, and it sets out a framework of social measures intended to facilitate the postal operator's upcoming business reorganisation.
On 02 December 2015, and following an earlier vote in favor by PostNL workers, a new five year agreement was signed enabling the postal operator to adapt how it organizes itself in the face of a continual drop in postal volumes.
