All of Nedcar's employees are going to be subject to the ATV (Arbeidstijdverkorting, working time reduction system). This is a first since the system was introduced at the end of November, to avoid collective redundancies. (Ref. 090027)
Working time for
the 1.787 employees of Nedcar’s factory in Born will be reduced for an initial
period of six weeks. This period can be renewed three times maximum. The
unemployment insurance (WW) will take over to pay Nedcar’s employees, up to 70%
of the wage part they won’t receive – the remaining 30% are paid by the
employer. Nedcar didn’t communicate figures on its sales drop in the past few
