China/Starbucks will extend healthcare to employees’ parents. On 11 April the announcement was made that Starbucks will cover parents under the age of 75 of employees who have been employed for by the company for at least two years. This move was presented both as a response to the country’s traditional values where young nationals have to cope with being responsible for their parents and as a way to boost the loyalty of young and often under-employed workers, and it pays for supplementary cove
