Great Britain/an upturn in real salaries. Latest data from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) published on 17 April confirm what several experts previously stated in March (c.f. article No. 10614) that UK real salary levels are rising. For the three months of December, January and February remuneration increased 2.8%, which is above the 2.7% inflation rate for February 2018. The rise may well go further as on 18 April the ONS surprised markets releasing its slowest inflation rate in a year
