Italy/Paternity leave rises to 4 days. In line with the 2017 Finances Law, mandatory paternity leave will be four fully paid days. The 2013 Fornero reform introduced mandatory paternity leave. Initially paternity leave was one day that had to be taken during the first five months of the child’s life or adoption. This was then raised to two days in 2016 and 2017.
