Norway: a 2.8% salary increase for the offshore sector
On 04 May 2018 an agreement that delivers benefits to workers on offshore oil platforms was concluded between Norsk Olje og Gas, the employers’ body that groups companies operating in the offshore oil sector, and the relevant trade union organizations; Industri Energi (energy sector employees), SAFE (oil company employees), and Lederne (senior staff and employees union). Running until 2020 this agreement also attempts to introduce some reflection over how the sector can be expected to develop going forward.
