In a decree published on 26 February, the Peruvian government has set out how its new law on remote work is to be applied. The decree reaffirms the voluntary and reversible nature of remote work and sets out the rights and duties of the employer and employees working remotely. Public and private companies now have 60 calendar days to adapt to the new measures.
The decree published in Peru’s official state gazette on 26 February sets out the conditions for the application of the law on remote work of 7 September 2022. It specifies that the employer and the employee may agree together on permanent or temporary remote work. If no agreement is reached, it is considered permanent.
