The 20th National Congress of Solidarity (NSZZ 'Solidarnosc') took place in Szczecin on 28-29 September. It marked the 25th anniversary of the first Congress of this Trade Union. (Ref.061096)

About 80 international guests attended and listened to the debates of the 20^th National Congress of Solidarity. 353 delegates from all regional and branch structures of the union participated in the Congress. The incumbent president of the National Commission, Janusz Sniadek, was elected for a second term. He received 178 votes in the runoff. The Congress also elected adopted several documents, resolutions and statements. Here are a few resolutions passed :
