The new regulation allowing employers to carry out ‘preventive, one-off sobriety tests’ on employees comes into force on 21 February 2023. Tests will be able to verify the presence of alcohol and drugs (opioids, amphetamines, cocaine, etc.). Employers will have to inform their staff at least two weeks before introducing the tests. They will have to establish the manner, time, and frequency in which the checks are to be carried out (e.g. on a daily basis if the work so requires such as for...
