According to the company’s unions, Fiat’s management offered to pay each employee from the Tychy site an exceptional 1.000-zlotys (about 267 euros) bonus. However, the management did not answer unions’ demands, who were asking for a 100% increase for all of the 3.500 employees on the site, which would bring minimum wage on the site from 1.400 zlotys (about 370 euros) to 2.800 zlotys (about 700 euros). Following the strike threat formulated the day after the new Fiat model was launched (see our dispatch n° 070614,) the company's management granted exceptional bonuses to employees from the Tychy production site. The total amounts to almost a million euros. (Ref. 070652)
