Following the strike threat formulated the day after the new Fiat model was launched (see our dispatch n° 070614,) the company's management granted exceptional bonuses to employees from the Tychy production site. The total amounts to almost a million euros. (Ref. 070652)
According to the company’s unions, Fiat’s management offered to pay each employee from the Tychy site an exceptional 1.000-zlotys (about 267 euros) bonus. However, the management did not answer unions’ demands, who were asking for a 100% increase for all of the 3.500 employees on the site, which would bring minimum wage on the site from 1.400 zlotys (about 370 euros) to 2.800 zlotys (about 700 euros).
