Until now, union representatives whose contract was terminated in an unfair manner could only request damages. Reinstatement (article 50.5) was only granted in a restricted way to pregnant women or employees on maternity or paternity leave. With the article’s new wording, this provision is extended to union representatives, regardless of the nature of their labor contract (fixed-term or permanent).
