The anticrisis package, divided up into 13 points, was developed by the social partners in March (see our dispatch No. 090287) to counteract the negative impact of the crisis on employment. Based on this text, the government presented its own proposals in early April (see our dispatch No. 090418). The social partners rejected some of them, like the financing of the “inactivity leave” (half by the company and half by the State). Therefore, unions and employers asked the government to revise its position and present clear proposals to the Ministers concerned. The government agreed to these requests and promised, on May 15, to prepare quickly the texts which will immediately be sent to the social partners for consultation. Union and employers’ organizations promised to give their opinion about the texts shortly. The legislative package, which should include six laws, will concern the following issues:
