By virtue of a decree from the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, passed on June 27, 2007 and effective since July 20, Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian citizens can work on the Polish soil without a preliminary work permit, for a maximum duration of three months, twice a year. (Ref. 070658)
In order to remedy to the workforce shortage affecting some sectors (building, agriculture…), the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy decided to soften administrative formalities prior to the employment of eastern European workers not citizens of the European Union. By virtue of the June 27, 2007 decree, Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian citizens can work on the Polish soil without a preliminary work permit for a maximum length of three months within a six-month period, that is twice a year.
