On October 17, Polish MPs adopted, with 393 votes for and only 2 against, the law on the modification of the Labor Code. This text transposes into national law the definitions of indirect discrimination and moral and sexual harassment, ensures equal treatment for employees returning from their maternity leave, and introduces a general security obligation for the employer. The text still needs to be ratified by the Senate to become permanent. (Ref. 080808)

the law completes or introduces, into the Labor Code, several definitions:

when a decision, criterion or action – apparently neutral – leads or may lead
to disproportions or a disadvantageous situation for a person or a determined category of
