Poland: the government wants to make the Labor Code more flexible

The Ministers' Council adopted, on February 28, a draft amendment for the Labor Code to "make labor law more flexible and more rational". This text notably plans to exclude companies with less than 10 employees from some dispositions of the code, to reduce the duration of maintained salary for illnesses and to decrease certain prerogatives of the Labor Inspectorate. Excluding small offices from Labor Code regulations. The amendment plans to exclude small offices with less than 10 employees,, as well as individuals employing personnel, from some Labor Code regulations (dismissal procedure and notably informing the company union; notice of termination; reinstatement; technical unemployment…). For these companies, the government proposes special regulations, including:
