hly minimum wage amounting to 475 euros in 2010, to apply the commitment taken with the social partners in 2006. This proposal still needs to be discussed by the social dialog committee. (Ref. 091120)

Significant increase. National minimum wage (SMN) will be increased to €475 a month, against €450 currently. The head of the Portuguese government formally promised to guarantee the increase. However, this is merely a “proposal” which needs to be sent to the social partners.
