After looking at the Cassa Integrazione Guadagni in Italy (see our dispatch No. 080932), conventional possibilities to adjust working time in some cases in Slovenia (see our dispatch No. 081005) and partial unemployment in Spain (see our dispatch No. 0819033), our fourth dispatch on measures to avoid mass layoff during the crisis looks into partial unemployment in Portugal. Temporary suspensions of the performance of the labor contract are regulated by articles.330-353 of the Portuguese Labor Code.
