Professional alarms: the beginning of a common approach in the EU

In July 2006, European companies who are listed on the US stock market will be subjected to the American law known as Sarbanes Oxley. They will thus have to install mechanisms making it possible for their employees to alert them on possible financial and accounting frauds in their company. The 25 European authorities in charge of personal data protection adopted on 1 February 2006 an opinion on professional alarm devices (see. our article 06243).
