The joint position for the adoption of the directive relative "to the implementation of the equal treatment principle and that of equal opportunities between men and women at work (recasting)", adopted by the Employment Ministers of the 25, last 10 March, is published in the OJEU. This text aims at overhauling the various Community texts on this topic in order to simplify, modernize and improve this legislation. Indeed, it gathers all the application directives of the principle of equal pay between genders, in particular that on equal treatment as regards social security systems, and the directives on the access to employment, training and professional promotion, working conditions and the reversal of the burden of proof.
